I've registered, but I have to log in each time I want to go to my profile

If the system is asking you to log in each time, our server is unable to set a "cookie" which allows our site to recognise you as a registered user. This is caused by security settings that block cookies, or by firewall or internet security software that blocks cookies. If you are using a firewall or internet security software, please allow cookies to be set from the Fairfax network of sites.

If you do not have internet security software, then check your cookie settings.

If you have logged out of your profile during your time on triplem.com.au you will need to log back in.

I get an error saying "runtime error"

This occurs when your browser has cached old files that have been updated on our sites. To remedy it empty your cache.

I'm using a personal firewall or internet security program (Norton Personal Firewall, Zone Alarm and others) and I keep getting alarms

Personal firewalls and internet security programs often give warnings when an internet site sets a cookie on your browser. Setting a cookie allows a site to identify a user as he or she browses the site, but has no effect on other computer functions. These programs often provide generic alarms for a range of different actions. You should check with the program vendor, to determine the correct settings for the program.

Do I need to login every time I want to use the website?

Provided you do not make any changes to your browser's cookie settings, you will not need to login every time you visit our website. This means you will be able to read stories and articles freely, every time you visit, without having to enter your username and password.

When you are accessing personal information, such as your profile and secure services, such as registering for a newsletter, we will always ask for your password as verification. This is done to ensure that no one else can access your account and your details remain secure.

If you are having problems with login or registration, check that your browser settings accept cookies.
