Westboro Baptist Church to picket late Slayer guitarist's funeral

The Westboro Baptist Church are following through on their threat to picket Jeff Hanneman's funeral service, which held on May 23 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles from 3:30pm, will be a public celebration of the late Slayer guitarist.
The service, which the band want to be a celebration of his life, will be free and open to the public. People of all ages are welcome.
It's understood the fringe Kansas-based Church group will sing a parody of Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" at the service.

This is a pretty emotive one. Following the sad metal news of the death of Jeff Hanneman last Thursday, controversial church group Westboro Baptist Church may picket the dead Slayer guitarist's funeral.

The Kansas-based independent church group are widely described as a "hate group" and continually court controversy with their shock tactics, which includes picketing funerals all over the US including those of fallen US army soldiers with the group's signature signs like 'Thank God for Dead Soldiers '.
The WBC is not affiliated with any Baptist group.
Slayer guitarist and founding member Jeff Hanneman died of liver failure on May 2. He was 49.
