Jet are back in the UK this week to oversee the British release of Shaka Rock and to reveal their thoughts on inner-band sibling rivalry.

Nic and Chris Cester told The Sun newspaper over the weekend that, naturally, they understand all about the stress that comes with being brothers in a band together.

“There are times when we’ve felt I can’t go on working with Nic, especially at the end of Shine On,” said drummer Chris. “We’ve never actually had a physical punch up, but it’s been close.”

The Cester brothers also revealed that they saw the Oasis split coming ever since they toured with the band across America back in 2005.

“I’m not surprised they split at all,” said Nic. “If anything, I’m shocked they managed to make it work for so long. I’d say it’s definitely the end. They didn’t get on.”

“They were never in the same room when we were on tour,” added Chris. “I have never seen them have one conversation together the whole time I’ve known them. Avoiding each other was best. Noel is one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. Liam is mental. A real clash.”

As part of their interview with The Sun, Jet performed a short acoustic set for the newspaper’s website, which included a cover version of INXS’s “Never Tear Us Apart”. Watch the video here.
