Killer Covers Post by: Music 27 April, 2009 - 7:12 AM
The Killers have started work on an album covering their favourite hits of the past.
The only confirmed track at this point is a cover of the 1980s’ hit “One Night In Bangkok”, which was originally written by the songwriters from ABBA for a musical called Chess.
According to Killers' drummer, Ronnie Vannucci, the band has also given a Cyndi Lauper song the Killer treatment.
“We have a couple in the can but I don’t know when the hell we’ll get it off the ground to release it,” said Vannucci. “It’s going to be one of those things that will be more fun for us than anybody else.
“I think it’s still a while off but things move kind of fast with us and get cooking, so it could just be when we have a collection of songs for the press, we’ll put it out there.”
According to music-news.com, Vannucci also revealed the band is putting the final touches to a DVD which will be out by the end of the year.
“We’re working on some ideas for what will be our first DVD,” he said. “We’ve been kind of hounded about it for a while, and haven’t thought we were due for it yet. I think it’s time. I think we’re approaching the moment of DVD mass hysteria.”
Regular readers of this blog will note that we got through this whole article without mocking Brandon Flowers' religion or giving a single reason why the Killers should break up. Are you proud of us?
Should we continue to mock Brandon’s religion? Should The Killers break up?

Keep heaping crap on them.
Their first album was great. Since then, the music has gone down hill, and the egos have exploded.
