Killer Loves God Post by: Music 25 March, 2009 - 7:05 AM
When The Killers land in the country this week to headline the traveling V Festival, for God’s sake, don’t bring up God.
Singer Brandon Flowers recently admitted that it’s a bit of a difficult balancing act being both a rock God and a Mormon. [Ha-ha-ha – a Mormon? Are you f**king kidding? “Look, mummy – those annoying people are at the door again. Wait a sec, I think it’s Brandon Flowers!” …. Sorry – got carried away there …]
“I feel more and more alone as a person of faith,” Flowers recently explained. “It’s not just rock stars who aren’t cool if they’re religious – it’s like it’s a taboo for any young person to be religious now.
“If you love someone, and you know that love is real – that’s how I feel about God. I’ve had feelings I can’t describe that are unexplainable to me, unless there is a God. But if I say that, people look at me like I’m crazy.”
So, please – if Brandon comes knocking on your door over the next week or so, don’t turn the other cheek.
The V Festival – starring The Killers, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Duffy and dozens of other acts – kicks off in Sydney on Saturday and then moves up to the Gold Coast on Sunday.
What would you do if Brandon Flowers came knocking at your door with an armful of pamphlets?

Give him a huge hug!
Sure, it's not like I'd be converted but c'mon, Brandon Flowers is freakin' awesome.
I'd also ask for his autograph and take a picture of us as living proof that I met 'that guy from The Killers'. Maybe a lil kiss too...

Meh. What he does is up to him. Same goes if he was an occultist.
If we find his and his band's art to our taste who cares about his faith?

Why are his religious views such a big deal?
Again, I guess you guys are trying to be funny adding in the italicised comments, but someone needs to grow up and quit making a fuss over him being a Mormon.
