Killers New Xmas Single Post by: Eddie Ruckus - Rockin' Blogger 2 December, 2009 - 7:08 AM
It’s been a mammoth year for The Killers and they’re capping it off with one final new single, all in a good cause.
All proceeds from sales of the jaunty “Happy Birthday Guadalupe” will go to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa, via the (RED) charity.
It’s the fourth time The Killers have released a Christmas single for the charity.
“We’re thrilled to be releasing our fourth Christmas song with (RED),” said Brandon Flowers. “(RED), through the Global Fund programs it supports, has made great strides in providing care to those affected by AIDS throughout Africa, and it’s our honour to continue to contribute to that cause.”
Bono also got in on the (RED) act in London, helping launch Nike’s (RED) shoelaces.
All (RED) events coincided with yesterday’s World AIDS Day.
What do you think of The Killers’ new single? Are they the band of the year?
