Rock stars often encounter mayhem in a stage environment. Everything from hecklers to bottlers to tantrums... to the stage actually collapsing under their feet.
Here are a few of our favourites dramatic concert blow-ups:
#1. Axl Rose Gets Bottled Off Stage
Here's further proof that the Guns N' Roses world tour was an absolute circus - but this time we have to come to Axl's defence.
Following another late start from GN'R (you'd think Axl would've learnt his lesson by now) irate fans in Dublin, Ireland welcomed the band on stage by hurling bottles at them.
Axl then stopped mid-song and simply declared to the crowd: "Here's the deal. One more bottle, we go home. It's up to you. We would like to stay. You want us to stay?"
It seems they didn't.
#2. Courtney Love Storms Off Over Kurt Cobain, Slams Dave Grohl

Courtney Love chucked a tantrum on stage in Brazil recently after a fan kept holding up a picture of her late hubby, Kurt Cobain.
"I don't need to see a picture of Kurt, a**hole! And I'm going to have you f***ing removed if you keep holding that up," she yelled at the fan.
But as you can see in the video, the big story is the Dave Grohl reference. The acid-tongued Queen of Grunge dragged the Foo Fighters frontman into the fracas accusing him of stealing money from her and Kurt.
"I don't care what you listen to at home, but a guy that takes money off my kids table..." she then gave him the one-finger salute.
#3. Guns 'n' Roses St. Louis Riot
When Axl spotted a concertgoer capturing their April '92 St Louis show with a camera he informed security.
When security didn't respond instantly, Axl leapt into the crowd, confiscated the camera and then stormed offstage, shouting "Well, thanks to the lame-ass security, I'm going home!"
The band cowered backstage as thousands of incensed Gunners fans tore the venue apart, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage. Axl was charged with inciting a riot but was eventually acquitted. Video above.
#4. Dave Grohl Breaks Up Fight, Kicks Out Heckler

As you can see in the above video sourced from YouTube, earlier in the set Dave Grohl played bouncer by breaking up a fight.
"In the middle of the moshpit these two guys started biffing each other," Erin told Triple M's Becko shortly after the show. "Dave Grohl stopped mid-song and was like 'nah, dickhead, get out!' and kicked the guy out. [He] got security in there and got rid of him. It was ridiculous. Everyone was cheering. He's such a legend."
#5. Cheap Trick Stage Collapse
Cheap Trick brought the house down (literally) when the stage collapsed beneath them during a performance at Ottawa's Blues Festival in Canada.
