Wolfmother Delay Egg Post by: Eddie Ruckus - Rockin' Blogger 7 September, 2009 - 6:42 AM
Wolfmother has pushed back the release of their new album Cosmic Egg by a fortnight and it will now be out in Australia on October 23, a few days ahead of the rest of the world.
The band has explained the reason for the delay on their website. “We’ve decided to move the release date back a couple weeks to allow us more time to complete the artwork and manufacture the various release configurations [standard, deluxe, double vinyl, box set]!” they said.
Meanwhile, Wolfmother is currently in the middle of a US tour supporting The Killers, but took a night off late last week to play a surprise show at a tiny club in New York.
As the footage above shows, the four-piece could barely fit on the stage of the Bowery Electric club but, from all reports, delivered an electrifying 90-minute set for the 150 fans who managed to cram into the venue.
This week the band will be back in LA where they’re filming a clip for their new single, “New Moon Rising”. Of course, Wolfmother are finally back in Australia in a couple of weeks time for a quick national tour.
Hands up who's going to the upcoming Wolfmother shows?

Awesome! Great to them playing in a small punk venue.
Wish I was there.
