Coldplay’s Michael Jackson Tribute Post by: Triple M Music 17 July, 2009 - 10:33 AM

Coldplay have added a live Michael Jackson tribute into concerts on their current US tour, performing an acoustic version of “Billie Jean”.

A YouTube clip of the band playing the song in Washington on the weekend has become an instant web hit, already viewed more than 250,000 times.

While the cover appears to be going down a treat during the shows, it has received a frosty [more like f**king freezing] reception from fans of the King Of Pop.

“This is an insult to the king,” writes one fan. “THAT WAS HORRIBLE!!!” says another. “Know who else is a drug-addled pervert? Pretty much every rock start to ever exist ever,” comments yet another fan. [Your point being?]

What do you think of the tribute?

Those fans should be happy they at least remembered him - though Chris Martin is a huge MJ fan.

Alice Cooper put out a statement, U2 are doing snippets at their shows... what else can they want?
