Eddie And The AFL At Odds Over Video Reviews Posted by Triple M Footy 23 May, 2012 - 4:54 PM
(Slattery Images)
Eddie McGuire has been running a campaign against the AFL over what he says is its faulty goal-umpiring review system.
The Triple M Hot Breakfast host has previously said the way the system is handled will ultimately see the AFL wind up in court.
Earlier this week McGuire revealed the reason the video review system was ditched after it had been called for during Collingwood's clash with Geelong was a cord being kicked out in the umpires' room (image from the scene, sort of, below).
On Wednesday, McGuire got his chance to take his grievances to the AFL directly, with Operations Manager Adrian Anderson joining the program in the studio.
Anderson, in an at times very heated debate, told Triple M the results after eight rounds of footy in relation to the review system are
- 36 reviews from 72 matches
- 40 seconds per review
- In 22 of the 36 reviews the vision has been conclusive
- In 14 reviews it hasn't been conclusive
- 4 cases that were wrong that have been corrected
Listen to the fiery discussion and take the poll.

Rory Sloane To Stay A Crow, Cloke's Dad Blowing It Posted by Triple M Sport 23 May, 2012 - 1:50 PM
It just gets better for the flying Adelaide Crows with reports this week suggesting Rory Sloane and Patrick Dangerfield will commit to the club.
Tredders said on Triple M on Wednesday it’s now just Kurt Tippett the second-placed Crows need to secure.
The Triple M Hot Breakfast host also said Port Adelaide should look at getting Matt Rendell to the club as a recruiter and discusses the latest speculation on Travis Cloke.
Tredders says Cloke needs to get someone other than his father, David Cloke, to manage him - and quick!
Listen to Tredders' say.
