Fiery Crash Claims A Life

Two Teens Charged

One person’s died and two others remain in a serious condition in hospital following a crash at Bedford Park.

It’s believed two youths in a stolen ute slammed into the cars stopped at traffic lights on Main South Rd shortly after 9 last night.

One car burst into flames immediately and sadly the 48 year old female driver from Panorama couldn’t be saved.

The male teens allegedly tried to do a runner from Police but were arrested nearby and are being questioned.

The 15 year old driver from Sturt has been charged with aggravated cause death by dangerous driving, illegal use and serious criminal trespass.

While the passenger, a 17 year old from Morphett Vale has been charged with illegal use and breaching bail.

They’ve both been refused bail and are expected to face the Youth Court later today.

They allegedly stole the ute from a house at Onkaparinga Hills.

The woman's death brings the State's road toll to 67 compared to 73 this time last year.

Traffic diversions remain in place with South Rd closed to motorists.
