Adelaide's Christmas Trading Hours Locked In

Suburban Shoppers Get More Time To Shop Over The Holiday Period

This year's Christmas-New Year shopping hours have been confirmed and the suburbs are a big winner.

Retailers outside the city will be able to open their doors from 9am until 5pm on the Proclamation Day and New Years Day public holidays on December 27 and January 2.

However traders in the CBD will be able to trade exclusively on December 26 and January 1.

In the lead up to Christmas retailers across Adelaide can open earlier on Sundays at 9am from November 27 until December 18.

There'll also be the chance for shoppers to hit the stores until midnight on Thursday December 15 and 22, as well as Friday December 23.

Smaller supermarkets, cafes, takeaway outlets and service stations can open whenever they want over the holidays.
