i think this whole situation sucks, and have a lot sterner words for the SANFL and other clubs but im being polite. Every club in this SA competition should be behind each other to ebsure ALL clubs survive and the SANFL should belieive in all the clubs the SANFL have been for as long as i can remember a bunch on pompus fools. Putting way to many restrictions on the port club. All clubs have financial duress at times. So come on all South Australians lets help kepp ALL clubs alive and playing.

when your born in port adelaide ,barack for port magpies,hung out at alberton oval, went to school with tim and late far coached most of the players in the seventies it hurts to hear and see the club go down,come on us supporters lets collect those cans and donate them all to the club

It is a great shame but I find it interesting that the "leafy green teams" have never had an issue in this dept. Having said that - I feel that port power has certainly put pressure on a community that found it difficult to support two clubs both financially and in terms of a fan base. Could this also be a socio - ecomnomic issue where we need to think about what a team like the Port Magpies does for its youth and its community? Perhaps it would be worthwhile to think about some grants and financial support along this vein . . . I am a philiosophical supporter!

I'm a one-eyed Norwood supporter, however this would be a very sad day in SA Footy to see the Magpies fold. Come on SA, show your football spirit and get behind the Magpies. Never thought I'd see the day I'd support the Magpies!

it will be a sad thing if the club falls as my grandfather played for them many years ago and my whole family is involved with the club

it is a shame the other clubs have not supported this move
lets hope we can keep this club alive
and keep the rivalry going in the SANFL because without the port magpies there will be none -

Even though I am not a big fan of the footy club it is sad to hear what is happening as well as its a bit of family history as one of the founders of the club (John Rann) was my great grandfather

Please everyone help the magpies. They have been in the SANFL for longer than any of us have been here on earth and it would be sad to see the club go. The history of the club speaks for itself on more than one occassion.
