Another Rioli Impresses At SA Draft Combine

Can play

Willie Rioli, cousin of Hawthorn gun Cyril, has impressed at South Australia’s AFL Draft Combine on Saturday.

Rioli, who is a small forward/midfielder like his cousin, lost 16kg in the pre-season and showed significant improvement in his results because of it.

The 21-year-old ran the 20m sprint in 2.98 seconds and returned a result of 13.2 in the beep test.

Rioli spent this year playing for Glenelg in the SANFL, singlehandedly winning them a game against Norwood in July.

Rioli also turned out for the SANFL representative team in May, booting four goals against the VFL side.

Also impressing on the day was Conor Noonan of West Adelaide and Liam Mackie, cousin of Geelong’s Andrew.
