Jay Clark has suggested Nathan Brown may turn down an offer from North Melbourne and continue his career with Collingwood.

Nathan Buckley hinted Brown's future at Collingwood was unclear at last night's Copeland Trophy.

But Jay-Z suggested on Triple M's Dead Set Legends the defender may opt to stay at the Pies.

"Last night, just a bit of a whisper out of the best and fairest - I think Nathan Brown will now stay at the footy club," he revealed.

"There's been a deal on the table for about three months now, he hasn't signed it, but I don't reckon North are as interested as they once were."

Brown has played 130 games for the Pies, including Collingwood's 2010 premiership.

"I think the vice-captain and full back will stay at the Pies, which is a big boost," said Clark.
