Western Bulldogs Fan Suffered Heart Attack During Grand Final
The man had a heart attack late in the match.
Close games can give fans heart attacks - in this poor Western Bulldogs fan's case, literally.
One Dogs fan was hospitalised yesterday after suffering a heart attack during the dying moments of the Dogs' unbelievable premiership.
The excitement proved too much for the 60-year-old man, who went into cardiac arrest late in the game as the Bulldogs sealed the match.
Paramedics arrived on the scene quickly to revive the man, who was taken to the Epworth Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
"Right on the siren, a Doggies fan had a heart attack," Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said.
"Paramedics were there immediately, and were able to resuscitate (him) with a defibrillator."
A related Facebook post, seemingly by the man's daughter, has gone viral.
