New Collingwood football manager Graeme Allan and Brisbane welfare manager Craig Lambert have agreed to 12-month suspensions, according to media reports.

Allan and Lambert have accepted the penalties for their involvement in the Lachie Whitfield saga.

The pair allegedly conspired to help Greater Western Sydney youngster Whitfield avoid a potential positive drug test by hiding him at Lambert’s home for three days in the middle of 2015.

At the time, Allan was the GWS football boss and Lambert was the GWS player welfare manager.

Whitfield will reportedly be banned for six months and will be free to play for the Giants midway through 2017.
