Matt Spangher Calls Time
Cult hero retires
Hawthorn cult-hero Matt Spangher has officially called time on his AFL career.
The 2014 premiership winner played 56 games, but leaves the Hawks as a flag favourite.
"[The] statistics in my career are not that impressive, but the premiership is something I can always hang on to," Spangher told AFL.com.au.
"Others got more kicks out of the story than me I think."
"I was pretty determined during my time in the Hawks to play in one."
The 29-year old played for three clubs in 11 years of football.
