Geelong players have gone all out for their 'Mad Monday' celebrations. Some were more controversial than others, with Mitch Duncan and Jimmy Bartel snapped dressed as Ricky Nixon and Kim Duthie walking hand in hand.

The other players have gone all out too; Cameron Ling went for the choice of Ronald McDonald, Steve Johnson hit a Collingwood nerve by going as Joffa, Travis Varcoe and Jesse Stringer made the bizzare choice of going as Salt and Pepper (Shakers), James Podsiadly as Fred Flintstone and that's just for starters. Tom Hawkins made an odd call that reportedly angered security guards, dressing with the name tag 'Ian Evans', the Cats security guard convicted for stealing premiership jumpers and memorablia in 2009.

Triple M's James Brayshaw and Billy Brownless caught up with Andrew Mackie who said "Scarlo set a standard with the kit, and now the bar's raised. They spend a lot of coin on it. I must admit I'm not a massive dresser upper, but the boys love it and they come out, and apparently there's a bit of controversy but it's all good fun."

Matthew 'Scarlo' Scarlett also spoke to Triple M about his Hannibal Lecter outfit; "yeah, under a bit of pressure to come up with the props - and I'm already thinking about next year's."

It may have been Mad Monday, but Scarlo still had time to reflect on the emotion of the weekend. "Everyone says words can't describe how you're feeling and it's the truth … you're walking around and you just don't know what to do, it's just so exciting."

Paul "Chappy" Chapman shared his team mate's feelings; "it's been unbelievable really, we knew that Collingwood were probably the best side in it but in the end we just grounded it out and we knew what we had to do to win."

He wasn't so certain about the Mad Monday outfit he'd chosen however, telling Triple M "I actually came in an … I can't even remember what I came in. It's been a good day."

JB asked Scarlo what else was in store for the premier players on their celebration trail; "mate we're happy to be amongst the people of Geelong, they get around us and it's such a great town, and we won the premiership for the whole town."
