Brendan Fevola has become a Lion after the completion of the trade period’s blockbuster deal.

In the deal, Carlton will receive young key position player Lachlan Henderson and Brisbane’s first-round draft pick, number 12, in exchange for Fevola and Carlton’s second-round draft pick, number 27.

Update: October 8th

Rumour has it that Brendan Fevola will line up in the forward line with the Brisbane Lions in a swap that will involve Lion players Daniel Bradshaw and Mike Rischitelli moving to Carlton.

Carlton will show the Brisbane pair through their Visy Park facilities and put them through medical screenings, after All-Australian full-forward Fevola agreed yesterday to a four-year offer to be traded north.

Blues fans staged a 'Save Fev' rally at their ground last weekend, but it appears at this stage nothing is going to save Fev from going to another club.

Eddie McGuire spoke exclusively to Fev after the airing of a portion of his now infamous Street Talk segment (above).

Footage also emerged from AFL Game Day: Season's Best edition, where Fev is seen giving jockey Simon Marshall some expletive-laden stick.

There's also vision of Chris Judd's stunning girlfriend, Rebecca Twigley, who's a qualified speech therapist, giving her expert opinion on Fev's oratorial performance on the night.

Is Brisbane absolutely mad for taking on Fevola ?

  I think its great Fev is gonna be a lion, even better that bradshaw is also staying in brissy, I think the idea if FEV, Bradshaw and browny should be a awesome scoring connection for 2010 season, as long as fev pulls his head in, and plays like the champion he has been known for.. Hugeeeee gain for the lions ..
