Terry Wallace Walks Away Post by: Triple M Footy 1 June, 2009 - 1:06 PM
After his recent bizarre non-sacking, Terry Wallace has finally relented to intense pressure by stepping down as Tigers' coach.
This story has been in a holding pattern for a few weeks and has only now touched down. Terry said the last two weeks had been tough and even though he led the team to a win on the weekend, he thought it was time to sign off.
Terry took over the coaching role from Spud Frawley in 2005 with mixed success. Richmond have only made the finals twice in Terry's time. He hopes to continue working in football, but doubts whether he would coach again. This weekend's game against his old mob - the Western Bulldogs - will be his last as coach.
Terry Wallace announces his departure from Tigerland.
Who should replace Wallace at Tigerland? Tell us below!

Maybe Caroline Wilson, Mike Sheean , Craig Hutcheson, & all the nameless media hacks in Melbourne who hounded this guy into quitting should take up the job instead of sitting back & laying it on anybody & everybody not in their media clique. I never thought that much of Terry as a coach but nobody deserves the treatment he has got from the bighead brigade.

I think Brian Royal would be the obvious choice to take over from Terry Wallace. It's sad to see him go out on this note but Richmond now needs to unite and get back on the right track.

Wallace may go to Roos, but I doubt it, I think its all over for his coaching career.

My thoughts for now are:
Malthouse to Tigerland, Choco Williams to Pies and Buckley to
Port Adelaide.
