Port Adelaide's Paul Stewart says he hasn't spoken to his mate Travis Boak about whether he is staying with the club.

"I've got no idea, me and Boaky, we're real good mates, but off the field we just try and stay clear from it," Stewart said.

"He keeps to himself Boaky, but I'm confident that [judging by] the way he's been around the club and his leadership over the last couple of weeks I can see his future being at Port Adelaide."

Travis Boak will stay with Port Adelaide, says Warren Tredrea.

Tredders told Triple M in Adelaide Boak told team-mates on Friday that he would be staying.

Both Geelong and North Melbourne were chasing Boak, with the Cats even sending a high-profile entourage to try to poach him last week.

Tredders says it'll be a two-year deal worth 'about half a mill' a year.
