The Wests Tigers will be facing an uphill battle to keep their superstars together, with a huge portion of talent off-contract next year. Listen to the full report below.

Mitchell Moses and Luke Brooks extended their stay at the club this year by exercising an option on their current contract for an additional season, but there remain other big names who will become available.

"The problem the Tigers have got is that all of their gun players - virtually all of them - are off contract next season," Triple M and Fox Sports' James Hooper said.

"We're talking Luke Brooks, Mitchell Moses, James Tedesco, Aaron Woods, David Nofoaluma; they all come off contract at the same time.

"The CEO took Brooks, Moses, Tedesco and Woods out to lunch, and was trying to get the ball rolling in terms of the future.

"That's not going to be happening. They're not going to be signing anything long term. If you remember what happened to Moses and Brooks this year, they really dragged out deciding about that contract option.

"This latest move, with Mark O'Neill being forced out of the club hasn't been well received by the players."

Wests Tigers football manager Mark O'Neill has resigned from the NRL club in the wake of misconduct allegations.

The Tigers released a statement on Friday saying the 2005 premiership player had left the club.

O'Neill took up the support role with the Tigers in February.

"Wests Tigers can confirm that Mark O'Neill has resigned from his position as General Manager - Football effective today," the statement read.

"The Board of Wests Tigers is fully committed to ensuring the club is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and seeks to promote an environment that supports diversity, productivity and professionalism.

"All employees have the right to be treated fairly and with respect.

"Discrimination and harassment will not be tolerated and the Board will not excuse misconduct in any circumstances.

Allegations had been levelled at O'Neill that he had acted inappropriately with a female staff member at a club end of season celebration.
