This is undoubtedly Rugby League's most famous image. "The Gladiators" was snapped in the aftermath of the 1963 Grand Final between St. George and Western Suburbs (St. George won 8-3), played in absolutely atrocious conditions. Opposing captains Norm Provan and Arthur Summons displayed an act of true sportmanship, forever immortalised on the NRL trophy. (Getty Images)
