Statistically, Memes Are Now More Popular Than Jesus
For the first time in 2016 years, memes have overtaken Jesus Christ in popularity.
Twitter user @Kuwaddo has taken a look at the Google Trends that show the use of the words 'meme' and 'Jesus' - and memes have officially taken out the fierce rivalry.
Jesus appears to remain consistent throughout a 12-month period, presumably spiking each year for Christmas and Easter, but the meme's stock is certainly on the rise:
