It's been revealed Manly Sea-Eagles superstar player Daly Cherry-Evans has requested a release from his contract over his salary, a reported $85,000 - significantly lower than his peers, or his market value.
As MG says, "he's the hottest prospect and commodity in NRL at the minute" and he could secure a significantly higher salary elsewhere, though to lose their star halfback would be a tragedy for Manly players.
