Cold Chisel Reunion Post by: Eddie Ruckus - Rockin' Blogger 8 July, 2009 - 7:39 AM
Some of the biggest names in Oz rock history are staging a show in Sydney in support of Rose Tattoo guitarist Mick Cocks, who is battling liver cancer.
One Of The Boys: A Concert For Mick Cocks will be staged at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Friday, July 24.
Those appearing on the night include Rose Tattoo, You Am I, original AC/DC bassist Mark Evans and The Radiators.
Most interestingly, all five members of Cold Chisel will also be in attendance. Although organisers have spread their names throughout the bill, it’s hard to believe the five guys won’t jump on stage together at some point during the night.
Cold Chisel last performed together in 2005 at a one-off benefit show held in Melbourne for the Boxing Day Tsunami.
Tickets for the Mick Cocks benefit go on sale today at the Enmore Theatre for $49.90 plus booking fee.
Would you be up for a Cold Chisel reunion?

I think the Cold Chisel reunion could be a goer.
Steve Prestwich will be there and he hardly ever talks to the band anymore, so for him to actually make the effort to come along... well it would be a shame not to take the opportunity wouldn't it?

Wow! It wasn't until it was too late that I realised how much I loved the sounds of Cold Chisel.
I YouTube them all the time, that chick in the front row almost crying to 'When The War Is Over' does my head in. Must have been the best concert back then.
I'm already in the ticket line should Chisel reform for a tour!
Bring it on boys, Australia needs you!

A Cold Chisel Reunion is a bit heavy handed.
How about a new record and follow up tour. Why not be a like most legendary bands of the 70's and strike a presence every 5 or 6 years?
Apparently it is something that is always discused with them. The energy & diverse talent of this band would have no trouble with rekindling the chemistry needed to satisfy their ageing and ready made market; as seen with the "Last Wave Of Sumer" & "Ringside" Shows 11 & 6 years ago respectively.

To see Chisel play live again it would be awesome! Shipping Steel, Breakfast At Sweethearts... thrilling stuff!
I think the guys have probably mellowed out in their old age,
And you'd like to think that the rifts between certain members that have kept the band apart before have healed.
