First Acca Dacca Singer Reveals All Post by: Peanut Gallery 16 February, 2010 - 6:57 AM

Dave Evans was the original lead singer of AC/DC. He fronted the band for around a year until Bon Scott landed the gig in 1974. The rest, as they say, is history.

The only other guy I can think of who might know how Dave feels about this is Pete Best, who was the original drummer for The Beatles. Like Best, the reason for Evans split from the group is unknown.

Dave went on to his own rock 'n roll career and tour the world. He's currently working on a new album called Judgement Day.

While he might not be able to pack out stadiums, in America he is known as The King Of All Badasses! He was kind enough to stop by and have a chat to us in the Peanut Gallery.

P.S. Why is Paul using a microphone that would look more at home on the set of Blankety Blanks. Did he think he was interviewing Ugly Dave Gray?

I was at the third and final Melbourne gig with my 14 year old daughter. What a show!!! I first saw AC/DC in 1985-6 (first ever show at tennis centre [back then]) and they haven't lost their touch to get the croud firing. Absolutely brilliant. It's a shame that we'll probably never see them back in Melbourne, but last night made up for something that will be hard to forget.
    THANKS GUYS YOU ROCK!!!!

My fiance and I went to the Thursday night show on the 11th of Feb and thought it was out of this world.

It was good to see that the AC/DC band hasn't Forgotten where they came from and they shown us that While they were in Melbourne. They started performing in 1973 and are still going strong today. GREAT SHOW AC/DC.

I was lucky enough to be working in one of the bars, on sat and tonight in our break I had the best view nothing could top that concert!

the bell-swinging, the cannons, train and one puffed out man who left us smiling only to return from the stage floor in a puff of smoke for the encore AC/DC I SALUTE YOU.

I've seen the acropolis in Greece and I've been to Rome, but seeing this tonight the last time here is something I will take with me, Bon Scott would be bopping his head you did him proud mates now have a bourbon and a smoke and R.I.P the show is over but the legend lives on just like Elvis - Marilyn Monroe - Micheal Jackson- Lady Diana - never forgotten always loved forever.
