Ok, what do you want to hear first? The good news or... the good news!

The Foo Fighters have a new album coming out and it's being produced by the amazing Butch Vig (he's the guy responsible for making Nirvana's Nevermind sound so damn huge)!

Dave Grohl just spilled the beans to Rolling Stone magazine saying the band were back writing songs for their next record.

Butch Vig worked with the Fooies on the new songs that appeared on their Greatest Hits compilation, but in terms of a whole album it will be the first time that the super producer has worked with Grohl since Nevermind nearly twenty years ago (now who's feeling old?).

Grohl went on to say the Fooies may jettison the comforts of the big recording studio in favour of the grungey settings of the garage saying "I think this could be our heaviest album yet". Bring it on!

We wanna hear your reasons why we need a Foo Fighters album - the more creative and passionate your reasons the better!

Just to see Dave pump out some killer rock tunes.

As much as I loved Dave's Them Crooked Vultures their songs were just too damn weird for my liking.

Hey me, leave it out dude. "Wheels" was one of the best songs they've done.

If you wanna hear a harder Dave, listen to Probot. Released in 2004 it's his heavy metal collaboration with metal artists, not him singing but he wrote it & plays nearly all instruments, it's AWESOME..

i agree with me, if the foo fighters ended their writing carrer on a boring mellow pop song ('wheels')i then my faith in rock and dave would be severly shattered..........id love to see a heavy grunge/rock album. thats the stuff we all need

Ohh my god sooo excited. I love Dave and everything that he touches. Loved his new band Them Crooked Vultures. I love their heavy stuff and their acoustic stuff like the Skin and Bones tour.

The new album will be wild, can't wait.

They better come to play in Sydney or I will be angry.

Keep up the good work foo's

I need only mention the power of "The Pretender"?! 15 tracks with the same raw, nut grinding intensity moulded by the hands of Grohl promises to be one of the greatest albums in the last ten years, if not longer. Am I looking forward to it... need you ask?!
