Van Halen played an exclusive, invite-only event at Henson Studios in Hollywood last night and we were there!
In what was a warm-up show for a US tour that kicks off in Louisville, Kentucky on Feb. 18, singer David Lee Roth, Alex and Eddie Van Halen (drums and guitar), and the latter's son Wolfgang on bass played a pumping 60-minute set to a few hundred VIPs.
"The show was AMAZING!" said Triple M's music reporter Renee Peterson. "Van Halen played some old classics ("You Really Got Me", "Dance the Night Away") and songs from the new record including the single "Tattoo", "The Trouble with Never" and "She's the Woman".
"Then they wrapped it up with the rock anthem “Jump” which included a group of sexy dancers (see the photo below)."

"[David Lee Roth] also changed it up with an acoustic tune in the middle of the set. He had three costume changes and loved grabbing his "package" during the whole show!"
Good to see nothing's changed with Diamond Dave! Of course, it wouldn't be a Van Halen show without a few models in attendance including Victoria Secret babe Angel Alessandra Ambrosio.
Throughout the show Diamond Dave shared his favourite memories of LA including playing Hollywood’s oldest venues and getting hot dogs from Pink's Hot Dogs.
In other news, Dave Gleeson's Triple M “The Rock Show” is giving listeners the chance to fly to LA to see Van Halen live in concert! Tune in from Monday Feb 6 at 7pm to get all the details.
Van Halen's new album, A Different Kind Of Truth, is available now.
Are you pumped about the chance of an Aussie Van Halen tour?
