Here for the first time is the original video to U2’s “Get On Your Boots”, the version the band decided to dump.

The big question is why? This version is so much more interesting and exciting than the one they actually put out.

You might remember a few snippets from this version were leaked onto the internet in the weeks before the record came out, which left us all completely confused when the real version was eventually released.

This one was directed by a British film-maker named Martyn Pick and it seems it was the director himself who has finally made the clip available through his own website. I mean, imagine being asked to make a clip for U2 and then not having anyone ever see it!

Meanwhile, U2 were in Italy today where Bono led the crowd in a singalong of “Happy Birthday” for his daughter Eve who turned 18 today. He also dedicated “Party Girl” to her.

  I guess we'll have to wait for the DVD what we haven't got yet, then we'll be able to see the video. To Be Sure!

  We agree Martyn Pick's version is by far the superior and it is a mystery as to why they decided to go with the other one.

  Actually it was Martyn Pick who was called in to make his version AFTER the band requested an alternative to the one they seem to have finally gone with... Hard to see why... Shame.
