Slash Files For Divorce Post by: Chris E Leigh 31 August, 2010 - 9:02 AM

Slash Perla

Slash has filed for divorce from his wife of nearly nine years, Perla Hudson, according to TMZ, who have posted the official court papers online.

According to the documents, filed Monday August 30 in LA Superior Court, Slash has cited "irreconcilable differences," and has requested shared custody of their two sons, London, 8, and Cash, 6.

The couple married in 2001, and allegedly separated back in July of this year, keeping the news of their separation private.

Slash's chequered past with Guns 'n' Roses is well known, but many fans saw Perla and Slash's marriage as unusually strong as you can see when the pair caught up with Triple M's Byron Cooke at the MTV Classic launch in Melbourne earlier this year.

We also caught up with Slash backstage in his trailer earlier this year, where the guitarist revealed how he met his wife and her disturbing need to fall asleep with Oprah on the TV.

Slash has yet to comment publicly on the split, and is currently on tour in support of his debut solo record, appearing at the Sunset Strip Music Festival over the weekend.
