U2 Live Across The World Post by: Eddie Ruckus - Rockin' Blogger 27 October, 2009 - 6:46 AM
Sure, it looked a bit like watching a show through a strobe light, but an estimated 2.5 million fans around the world took time out yesterday to tune into U2’s historic live YouTube concert.
Performing in front of 96,000 people at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, millions more watched on from the comfort of their computer screens in 16 countries around the world, including, of course, us!
It was the full 360 experience, with U2 delivering 24 hits [and a few misses]. The band has one more show in Canada this week before taking an extended break from the tour, starting up again next June, again in California.
As previously stated, the band expect to release a new album, already entitled Songs of Ascent, well before then.
If you missed yesterday’s gig, you can now watch the whole thing any time you want on-demand at YouTube HERE.
Well, did you watch? What did you think?

What an absolute treat it was from the band to stream their live show for their fans.
I hope when the dvd is released that the drums sound big because Larry was going insane!
Apart from some sound level issues it was an amazing show. Hey we even got a mention just before Magnificent!
Can't wait for the tour to get here, hope Perth is included too.
