Motor Ace Members Carry On With New Project

New music from cult Aussie rock band

Australian rock band Motor Ace had a HUGE cult following, soundtracking the late 90s with their melodic rock tunes.

The band members from the band are back with a new project NightHawk.

Made up of Motor Ace members Patrick Roberston and Damian Costin  and new musical kinsmen Flynn Wheeler and Rhys Thompson

Patrick explains, “Nighthawk comes from a very different place. It was a party before it was a band. There's a simplicity about the music and the attitude. I haven't felt as excited about a group of musicians and making music for a very long time. I think you can hear it.”

Check out the film clip for their new single ’Surely Gettin On’:

WATCH: Creepy New Music Video From Aussie Rock Band Kingswood

Local lads back a bang

Melbourne rock band Kingswood have dropped their first single ‘Creepin’ with a killer new clip.

The band, who rocked our faces off opening for AC/DC on their 2015 Australian tour are hitting the road off the back of the release.

Speaking about the song, the band’ s guitarist Alex Laskasays, “Creepin is a song about the darker and more lustful parts of one’ s mind, when longing for an object or person of desire. The idea being an attempt at reconciliation of the thought itself when the reality is an insatiable quest that ultimately transforms the protagonist entirely from something quite innocent and pure into a more sinister, powerful self through recognition of this transformation.”

Catch Kingswood on the road, dates here.

Triple M Record Of The Week: The Rolling Stones

‘Just Your Fool’ is Triple M's Record Of The Week.

Five decades in the making and just three days to record, Rock’n’Roll greats The Rolling Stones are back with their brand new single ‘Just Your Fool’ from the upcoming new album Blue & Lonesome.

The new music takes the band back to their roots and the passion for blues music which has always been at the heart and soul of The Rolling Stones.

Blue & Lonesome sees The Rolling Stones tipping their hats to their early days as a blues band when they played the music of Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon, Eddie Taylor, Little Walter and Howlin’ Wolf - artists whose songs are featured on this album.

Their approach to the album was that it should be spontaneous and played live in the studio without overdubs. The band - Mick Jagger (vocals & harp), Keith Richards (guitar), Charlie Watts (drums), and Ronnie Wood (guitar) were joined by their long time touring sidemen Darryl Jones (bass), Chuck Leavell (keyboards) and Matt Clifford (keyboards) and, for two of the twelve tracks, by old friend Eric Clapton, who happened to be in the next studio making his own album.

The Triple M Record Of The Week is what it says it is…

Each week Triple M selects a song from all the new music being considered for the playlist as the ‘Record of The Week’.

It’s a song, sometimes an album we think is going to do big things and we want to give it a head start and feature it on air across the week.

We’ll also get your feedback on it and feature it in the Music Jury.

So far we’ve featured new music from Kings Of Leon, Disturbed, Catfish And The Bottlemens, Blink 182, Sting and Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as the great new songs from local legends The Amity Affliction, Bernard Fanning and Birds of Tokyo.

Listen to our Record Of The Week playlist:

VIDEO: Blink-182's New Video Is A Remake Of 'What's My Age Again' With Female Internet Stars And It's BRILLIANT

Instant classic

Blink-182 have just dropped the video for their new hit 'She's Out Of Her Mind' and it's an absolute classic.

The band have a reputation for parodying classic culture and this time they've decided to parody themselves with a copy of their iconic "What's My Age Again?" video where the band run naked through the streets causing chaos and attracting a mix of admiring and disgusted looks...only this time replacing themselves with female 'internet celebrities'.

The new version stars Lele Pons, Hannah Stocking and Vale Genta, models and video stars on Vine and Instagram, along with old staples from the video - the banana suit, distracted shopkeepers and sexy nurse...played by Adam DeVine.

You can hear She's Out Of Her Mind, from the album California, on Triple M. And check out the awesome video below:
