The Cult Love Live Tour Dates Post by: Dave-O 11 March, 2010 - 4:35 PM

One of our favourite bands, The Cult are touring Australia for the first time in 15 years!
The good news is they'll be playing their classic Love album in full (how good is that album!) alongside a sprinkling of their other classic hits.
"The band is redefining the live album experience with the LOVE Live Tour; nothing is comparable to witnessing The Cult. This will be the greatest tour yet,” stated Cult manager, Tom Vitorino.
Cult founders Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy still write together and have been working on songs for a new album to follow up The Cult’s 2007 release, Born Into This.
Tickets for all shows go on sale on Friday, 19 March, 2010.
Tour dates
5 May - The Tivoli, Brisbane
6 May - Luna Park, Sydney
8-9 May - Palais Theatre, Melbourne
10 May - Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide
12 May - Metro City, Perth
Tickets available from: ticketek.com.au, moshtix.com.au, venuetix.com.au, ticketmaster.com.au, bigtopsydney.com.au

It was The Cult's first Aussie show in 15 years and the rock legends didn't disappoint.

Thank god The Cult are coming, I have been waiting years for this, i hope that we will them a lot of play on the radio, I still think that they are one of the best bands in the world.
I have got a Doors DVD with Ian Astbury on it, he's better than Jim Morrison.
Long live the cult. Are Aerosmith ever coming?

When rap and hip hop were all that everyone played along came Cult, and they just rocked!
To this day my favourite Cult Classic is She sells Sanctuary. It still stands the test of time.

Phoenix from Love and Wild Flower & Electric Ocean from Electric would suit Triple M.

Got my tickets and can't wait.
The love album in full... brilliant. Slot in Edie (Ciao Baby) and I'll go home a happy camper.

Why oh why are they playing at The Palais?? It's a crappy venue for my fave band to play in.
Festival Hall would have been better suited to their sound and conducive to dancing!

Comments like "One of our favourite bands" don't cut it with me. You NEVER airplay The Cult. So don't jump on board because they are the best rock band in the world and you want to be seen having a part of it to be cool.
Triple J were the only high rating radio station to give them the respect and airplay their classic songs. Now they are too pretentious and in love with themselves. They didn't even acknowledge the Born Into This album when it was released.
Start playing classic Cult songs on air, lets say one a day at least, and I'll give you some credibility.
