Kingston Drowning Tragedy: Sisters To Be Farewelled
While 3 year old boy is rescued from a pool in Hamilton
A 3-year-old boy is lucky to be alive, after being pulled unconscious from a pool in the inner-Brisbane suburb of Hamilton yesterday afternoon.
Paramedics were called just before 4pm but he'd already been revived by CPR before they arrived. He was taken to Lady Cilento Childrens' Hospital.
It comes just before today's sad farewell for drowning victims Patricia and Taya Young, with a funeral to be held for the sisters in Loganholme.
The three-and-four year olds drowned in their backyard pool on Tuesday November 1. Their brother tried to help them before raising the alarm, but they couldn't be revived.
Members of the public are invited to a memorial at Tudor Park PCYC, 71-79 Clark Road, Loganholme at 11am today. Guests can dress as Frozen characters, as a tribute to the girls' favourite movie.
The Young family is set to move house in the next few days, unable to cope with the memory of what happened in their back yard.
