Kevin Walters
Kevin also played in another two grand finals earlier in his career when he played for the Canberra Raiders. He has an impressive personal tally of six premiership wins for seven grand final appearances.
Kevvie first joined the Broncos in 1990, in the club's third year, and made 271 first grade appearances for the club. Like his good mate Allan Langer, he never played a reserve grade game for the Broncos. He was vice-captain in the premiership victories of 92, 93, 97 and 98, and went on to captain the Broncos to their premiership win of 2000.
With Langer and his twin brother Kerrod, Kevvie helped form what was referred to as the Ipswich Connection' at the Broncos, and the trio terrorised teams for almost a decade with their uncanny combination and their brilliant attacking play.
And with Langer, Kevin formed one of the most respected half/five-eighth combinations of the modern era - for the Broncos, Queensland and Australia. His greatest attribute was his superb passing game, which so often created tries for his outside men.
Since 2006, Kevin has been the assistant coach of the victorious Queensland State of Origin Team.
In 2007 Kevin is part of the Channel Nine NRL Competition commentary team. He is also a commentator for radio station Triple M on their live Monday night broadcasts.
Kevin is one of the co-owners of the three "Hand Wash Café" carwash businesses in Brisbane with his former Australian and Bronco team mate, Chris Johns and former Australian test cricketer, Ian Healy.
But don't worry, Kevvie will make sure you hear all about his car wash every Saturday when he takes his seat as a Dead Set Legend.
