Vicki Wilson

Vicki started playing netball in 1972, and by the time she hung up her bib Vicki Wilson was simply the Australia's greatest ever netball player and goal shooter extraordinaire.

Vicki became captain of the Australian Netball team in 1996, can captained Australia to a Commonwealth Gold Medal in 1998 and retired in 199 after winning the World Championships.

Vicki is the only Australian to play in 4 World Championships since her debut for Australia in 1985.

In 2000, a portrait of her was hung in the Archibald Prize by painter Nic Fern.

A tad more academic than the boys, when Vicki has an opinion, it has the unusual quality of being backed-up with evidence - something the boys aren't quite used to yet.

Vicki is still closely involved in sport, coaching the Queensland firebirds and currently promoting school sport with the Queensland Government.

And of course, you can catch her every Saturday in the box with Kevvie and pricey taking her place as a Dead Set Legend.
