The Grill Team have identified some of the men who put their lives at risk to save a man trapped in flash flooding in southwest Brisbane.
Step forward Adam, Lindsay and Phil whom Marto, Pete and Michelle have proudly labelled the 'quiet Aussie heroes' after they played down their efforts.
Amateur footage first shown on Channel 9 reveals grainy footage of the man stuck in a bridge after a fridge washed up against him during flash flooding.
Lindsay, who can be seen wading into the water, hoped the boys weren't mucking around as they "put a few people at risk".
Listen to him describe how he had to crawl up a hill to grab a hose to help the man breathe as his head was going under.

Another "quiet hero" Phil told The Grill Team he only did what anyone else would have done after trying to crowbar the fridge of the man's leg.
