If You Were Born Today, You're More Likely To Be A Shit AFL Player
Stats don't lie...
Bad news for October 26 babies...
Genuis AFL-stats man Swamp, on Twitter as @sirswampthing, has uncovered a new ridiculous piece of data.
After the news of Joel Tippett getting the chop from North Melbourne on his birthday (this morning), he joins a list of players born on the 26th of October to struggle in the AFL.
61.8% of VFL/AFL players that were born on this date have played less than 10 games at the top level - the highest percentage of any birthday.
A breakdown of the stats shows that of the 33 players, only 3 have managed to play over 50 matches in their respective careers.
Carlton legend Ken Hands, who turns 90 today, is the only one who played over 200 games.
He finished with 211 games to his name and is the last surviving member of the Carlton 1945 premiership team.
