Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley has hinted three Magpies may depart the club in the upcoming trade period.

Speaking at Collingwood's best and fairest last night, Buckley suggested Jarrod Witts, Jack Frost and Nathan Brown may leave the club, and gave them a farewell message.

"Goodbyes are always a little bit difficult," he said.

"There's still a bit to play out, but Jarrod Witts, Jack Frost, Nathan Brown weighing up his future - if you are to move on, guys, thank you very much for the contribution you've given the footy club."

Frost's manager confirmed the defender would seek a three-year deal to play at Brisbane.

Witts and Brown have also been among trade rumours.

"It's not forgotten, it's not lost, it's not wiped, it's definitely significant - so thank you," Buckley added.
