The premiership decider drew an attendance figure of 99,981 – some 8000 shy of the Dogs’ biggest ever crowd of 107,935, which also occurred in a grand final back in 1961 against Hawthorn, and about 5000 short of the Swans’ largest crowd in the 1970 semi-final against St Kilda (104,239).
