Brad Haddin Responds To Dale Steyn’s Savage Tweet
Hadds has gone in to bat for the Aussies
Ex-Aussie wicketkeeper Brad Haddin has responded to Dale Steyn’s tweet savaging the Australian team over Faf du Plessis’s lollygate.
Steyn ran this tweet late last night in response to du Plessis being charged with ball tampering over the incident during the Hobart Test:
Speaking to Seb Costello on the Weekend Breakfast this morning, Haddin — who will be involved in Triple M’s coverage of Test cricket starting next month — suggested Steyn didn’t entirely understand the context of the situation.
“It’s not the Aussies that have reported it, it’s the ICC,” Haddin said.
“It’s nothing to do with the Australian cricket team or even the match referees for the Test matches, the ICC has seen the footage and they’ve decided to react on it.
“It just looks like Dale’s sitting at home bored with his rehab to honest.”
The charge itself was laid by the CEO of the ICC, David Richardson — a former South African Test player.
