British Driver Breaks Back In Le Mans 24 Hours Crash

British Formula One driver Anthony Davidson has broken his back after an epic crash during the Le Mans 24 Hours race.

A Formula One driver has been left with a broken back after hitting another car and flying through the air during the Le Mans 24 Hours race.

"Feeling a bit sore today, but generally just happy to be alive!," Brit driver Anthony Davidson tweeted from a French hospital.

The 33 year-old collided with a Ferrari which sent his car flying through the air before slamming back down and into the safety fences.

Remarkably the F1 driver walked away from the crash only to be told the he had suffered two broken vertebrae at the hospital.
