The Shire has a trophy in its cabinet and the 2016 season is well and truly over. But that doesn't mean there's a shortage of rugby league action.

The three remaining spots in the World Cup still need to be settled between Wales, Ireland, Serbia, Italy, Spain and Russia.

Oct 22: Serbia v Italy, Spain v Ireland; Oct 29: Italy v Wales; Oct 30: Ireland v Russia; Nov 4: Qualifying play-off.

There are also a handful of international tests on in late October - early November.

Oct 21: Wales v Jamaica; Oct 29: South Africa v Niue; Nov 4: Niue v Lebanon; Nov 11: South Africa v Lebanon.

Oct 30 (Sunday 12:30am): England v New Zealand, The John Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield

Nov 14 (Monday 1am): England v Australia, London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London

Nov 21 (Monday 1:30am): Final, Anfield, Liverpool.
