Warriors To Lose Young Gun If Foran Deal Is Cleared
It's unclear whether the NRL is any closer to registering on Kieran Foran's contract with the Warriors, but no one is more eager for the decision to be announced than Tui Lolohea.
Lolohea was promised a shot at making the five-eighth position his own, but news that Foran may be taking up a deal with the club has cast a significant set-back in the young utility's career trajectory.
One thing appears to be certain: according to the Daily Telegraph, if Foran's in, Lolohea's out.
“He doesn’t want to leave and until the Foran situation is sorted out there is nothing I can do,” manager Stan Martin said to the Daily Telegraph.
“It depends on Kieran, it really does. Tui wants to stay, he doesn’t want to go.
“But at the end of the day if pathways get closed he also knows that he has got a talent and he can go and ply his trade somewhere else.”
The options available for Lolohea may be quite limited, given two contenders, being the Eels and Knights, have both made alternate arrangements for the No.6.
That leaves the Dragons, who have reportedly expressed interest but are also pretty well stocked in the halves with Kurt Mann, Drew Hutcherson and Josh McCrone in line to partner Gareth Widdop.
