There’s pressure at the Bulldogs to perform next season and it looks like changes may start from the top.

There is word that James Graham may stand down as Canterbury skipper next season, according to The Daily Telegraph.

“[Graham] doesn’t know if he wants the added responsibly and pressure of being the captain anymore,” a Bulldogs official told The Daily Telegraph.

“He wants to focus on being the best player he can be. I am not sure if anyone is pushing for him to step down.”

The firebrand Graham's on-field leadership style has been shrouded in controversy, having got himself in trouble over the past couple of years  with the way he’s confronted referees when things haven't gone the club's way.

James Graham is currently representing England in the Four Nations tournament. he captained England in the recent game against France in the absence through suspension of Sam Burgess, who returned for last Saturday's Four Nations opener against New Zealand.

This followed board member and club legend Steve Mortimer sensationally quitting from his position.
