Beau Ryan's Wests Tigers Departure: Matty Johns Has His Say
Matty Johns has commented on the Wests Tigers crisis following Beau Ryan and Benji Marshall's latest comments.
Tim Sheens is staying, but Beau Ryan and Chris Heighington are on their way to the Cronulla Sharks.
"They are restructuring and imploding...the big news is the loss of Beau Ryan" adds Matty Johns.
In Beau Ryan's latest interview, which you can catch below, he admits that he's devestated to leave and did his best to re-sign with the Wests Tigers. "That was the hardest thing I've ever done, besides signing the Cronulla contract. Benji (Marshall) was distraught, we're a tight side at the Tigers. The coach has got a lot going on aswell."
Matty added "Judging by what Beau Ryan said, you'd say that he's all over the shop because it is well know than he agreed to a 3 year contract at the Tigers, and now he's gone."
"Obviously the coach and players aren't seeing eye to eye" said MG.
Benji Marshall and fellow Tigers team mates are distraught, but Beau says "I agreed to a three year deal but never received any formal documentation...I never got the opportunity to sign anything."
"Judging by the way that this has been handled, it's ugly." Matty concluded.

Statement issued by Wests Tigers last night.
“As happens at the conclusion of every season the Wests Tigers Board has been undertaking a review into our 2012 season. This review encompasses all areas of our business including the football department.
At Wests Tigers we are a results driven organisation which is an expectation of success in all areas of our business. Nobody at any part of our Club is satisfied with our 2012 performances and we are all committed to doing everything we can to ensure improved results.
Over the course of the last week there has been considerable public comment over issues of player retention and recruitment as well as speculation regarding the future of our Head Coach.
As you would expect we will complete our review process and agree our future plans in a prompt but orderly fashion to ensure the best possible outcomes for our Club.
It would be inappropriate for us to make any further comment about this process or any other issues at this time.”
