Mark "MG" Geyer Says There Should Only Be Two Players In A Tackle Post by: Rodney Sandwich 31 January, 2012 - 10:58 AM

NRL

NRL refs boss Bill Harrigan has announced they're cracking down on the 'dancing tackle' so the game is faster this season. Triple M's own NRL legend Mark "MG" Geyer has other ideas.

"It sounds like a cluster... all these different versions of tackles. The dancing tackle, the cousin of the grapple, cannonballs. Come on!" Geyer exclaimed on Triple M's The Grill Team.

"This is all instigated by one thing - wrestling coaches. Get rid of wrestling coaches and we don't have these things," Geyer continued.

"I suggest we have no more than two [defenders] in a tackle at any one time. Then you don't see any of these chicken wings, or grapples or crushes. Two defenders, no more!" Geyer added.

How do you think the NRL should change for the 2012 season?
