Speculation is rife that rugby league star Karmichael Hunt is swapping codes to the AFL and joining the new Gold Coast AFL team from 2011.

It is reported that New Zealand born Hunt, 22, who plays for the Brisbane Broncos and has represented Australia, has agreed to make the switch.

If the switch goes ahead, it will be the first time that an NRL player has made the move to AFL.

Hunt's switch is likely to be confirmed at a press conference being held this morning.
